What you need:
• Crab: 500g
• Onion: 1 large
• Fresh coconut milk: 200ml
• The Women of Goem Soongta Hoomun masala: 2-3 tsps
• Tomato: 1 large
• Kokum/ tamarind (optional): 1-2 small pieces
• Curry leaves for garnish
• Salt to taste
• Cooking oil (coconut oil is traditional, but you can use any oil)

1. Marinate with salt and lime juice. Keep for 10m.

2. Chop the onions finely.

3. heat a cooking pot, add oil.

4. Add a tsp of mustard seeds.

5. Add the onions.

6. Fry them for 4-5 minutes

7. They should turn translucent.

8. Add 2-3 tsps of Soongta Hoomun masala.

9. Lower the heat while you add the powder.

10. Mix throughly.

11. Add 4-5 tbsps of coconut milk.

12. Mix throughly.

13. Add the chopped tomato.

14. Fry, mixing with the masala.

15. Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes.

16. The tomato should turn soft and mushy.

17. Add the crab.

18. Mix it throughly with the masala.

19. Fry for 3-4 minutes.

20. Add half of the coconut milk.

21. Dilute with water if the milk is very thick.

22. Add a bunch of curry leaves.

23. Cover and cook.

24. Cook on low flame for 4-5 minutes

25. Check for consistency of gravy.

26. Add the rest of the coconut milk.

27. The crab curry is ready.

28. Transfer to a bowl.
