Whenever you think of crab curries, think Goan Xec Xec! The local legend has it that the word ‘xec xec’ comes from the sound of its thick sauce simmering on the stove. Our version of this ancient, unique spice blend, handed down generations, comes from a Catholic family from the village of Curtorim, in South Goa, and it beautifully captures the traditional aroma and flavour of Xec Xec curries. Though it’s traditionally used for crabs, but compliments all kinds of seafood and meats.
